We are on the road, 31 hours later than planned. They are our plans, we can adapt them as needed. About 4 hours into yesterdays packing adventure we gave up on the idea of seeing out the back window, as visibility seemed secondary to having 22 cubic feet of stuff rather than 18 cubic feet of stuff of this trip. The Subaru is packed so full that other Subie drivers point and chuckle as they pass us on the road. You can hear them saying “oh that poor Forrester” in the same tone as a dog lover cooing at a malnourished pup. A quick stop off at the Tav in Ellensburg for the best onion rings this side of the Mississippi and then it’s tail lights all the way to Idaho.
